Hello Fellow Bassist!! I have a question. Been looking at a couple of Japanese Bass manufacturers and found one at a good price that I am VERY interested in. The bass is valued at $300 and shipping alone is another $140. Does anyone know how much (or the percentage) I will need to pay in...

Hello, I posted a thread a few days ago about buzzing problems with my Ken Smith KSD Bass. After further playing around...it seems it only buzzes when I connect my pedal (Boss GT-10B). However, If I touch my toe on the pedal the buzz goes away. The buzz also goes away when I touch my...

    Electrical Buzzing on KSD Bass

Also, when I plugged my bass directly to amp...there was still buzz. But of course, whenever I touch the control plate, or any knob, or even the cable going to amp, AND whenever i touched the amp itself....the buzzing would go away. However, as soon as i let go and start playing....the...

    Electrical Buzzing on KSD Bass

Hi Mike! I was wondering if I needed to shield the routing : ( But you're right, I should have a pro do the routing shielding. I will most definitely sand down the cavity to make sure a smooth surface is available for the tape. This is the video i watched....I don't have a back cavity...

eBay item: Fender Bass VI made from Jaguar parts

It's a baritone guitar. Not so much a bass. You would still tune it as a guitar I'm assuming. If that's what your looking for (a baritone guitar), I'd go for it. Cheers! : )

New American Fender Deluxe IV or V

I put a set of D'Addario Nickel Wounds....and they are not cutting through at all. When the highs are clear then the lows are invisible...and the same vice versa. I will look into those those strings though...maybe i should go for a heavier gauge as well. Thanks!

New American Fender Deluxe IV or V

Greetings! I picked up one of Fenders New (2011? i think) American Deluxe Jazz basses (V string and in Olympc White) a few months ago. I like the feel, love the look (esp. the block inlays) The new high mass bridges are pretty great, no need to swap to a badass or whatever. Tuners seem...
