    Thoughts On NBD Negativity

I fully agree with this. I was trying to say that blaming other people’s reactions doesn’t excuse you from being the bad guy in a situation.

    Thoughts On NBD Negativity

What does the other person being offended have to do with you being a jerk? Of course getting bent out of shape over ever little thing is no way to go through life, but that wasn’t my really my point. do you have any responsibility for your own behavior, or does it just depend on what other...

    Thoughts On NBD Negativity

Haha. That’s fair. I’m sure not every nbd post is pure-hearted either

    Thoughts On NBD Negativity

Genuine lol at people thinking I’m “losing sleep” or punching walls over this. Yes, I do wish people were a little nicer on here and it bugs me to see people bagging on others new gear, but all I’m really saying is don’t be a jerk. It just makes you look like a loser

    Thoughts On NBD Negativity

Haha. Originally I was going to make that sentence more personal, and in my “career,” some of my least fun, but best paying gigs have been in Oklahoma casinos. No amps, broken down house electric drums, in-ear systems with shorting extension cables, etc. Then they mix you so quiet the sound of...

    Thoughts On NBD Negativity

Recently, I regrettably took part in a short back and forth on a NBD thread. Continuing to argue in that thread felt like adding to the problem instead of addressing it, so I figured I’d continue my old-man-ranting-at-cloud diatribe here. Obviously, not everyone agrees on everything, and...

NBD. Nash 63 P Bass. Heavy relic

But seriously, congrats! I know people dog them but I’ve never played a Nash I didn’t like. My JB63 is easily my #1, and the relic has only gotten better with age. Probably going to buy my own PB63 next

NBD. Nash 63 P Bass. Heavy relic

Removed a post from earlier because I felt it was a little too salty towards relic haters and their super fresh and original takes, but I regret deleting it now. Good reminder why I don’t spend much time on talkbass anymore

    Are burst finishes out?

I’m another one that came around to liking bursts. I kind of look at it like a red ‘65 Mustang. It’s just classic. Maybe not your deal but it’s undeniable imo. I do prefer black over tort guards on bursts though

    What do you wish existed?

I just want someone to put a tuner in the freaking amp. Basically every amp on the market has extra knobs/buttons/functions that no one uses but the only amp I have with a built in tuner is a desktop guitar amp

what old debate should be revisited next?

Has anyone bought up relic’d finishes yet?

Show us the Oldest Bass in Your Inventory

My ‘76 P. Counting church gigs I’ve easily put a 1000 gigs on it over the last 20 years, and the guy who had it before me put at least that on it in the 70’s/80’s. I put some flats on and semi-retired it a couple of years ago, but I still play it fairly often

    Gnarliest P pickups (also NBD)

Yeah, I missed that post the first time. Those sound killer.

    Gnarliest P pickups (also NBD)

That’s pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. Versatile is obviously ideal, just not required for this bass

    Gnarliest P pickups (also NBD)

Thanks guys. I’ve heard some demos, but I don’t have much experience with the dimarzio’s. I’ll look into them a little more. I’ve just never been impressed with the quarter pounders. Can’t put my finger on what I don’t like but I bought a bass with them a few years ago and pulled them out...
