I have a super nice Wal fretless left handed bass, so nice that I will never part with it. Never. EVER.

    1963 Jazz bass on ebay..

I remember seeing an auction on eBay for a 50's era Stratocaster with a price tag of $150.000 approximately, which sounded utterly insane to me. do a search and you'll probably find it.

Well, at least you are married. If I bought it, I would be never be able to pay a wedding banquet.

The man who bought the Wal

I have some questions regarding this: would it be too much of a hassle? What are the potential problems of doing it? Do you have to add a new nut to the bass? I doubt I will get it fretted, but if I "hate" the fretless as it is I'm going to get some info before doing anything with it...

    another wal on the bay..

About the heaviness, I'm sure one of those Talkbass leather straps will do a great job, but is there something even more big/thick?

    Can anyone identify the effect?

Another pedal could be -if I'm not mistaken- the "Wobulator", but I ignore the name of the maker. It's more commonly used with guitar though, so I don't know how it would sound on bass. Do a search on any engine and something will pop up. *edit: here it is. Invalid Link Removed *

    Maple Finger-boards, Who Likes?

I really like the bass Nick Oliveri plays in the "No One Knows" video, the one with the visible paint-chipping and that beautifully aged maple board. If you go to www.youtube.com and do a search for "qotsa australia acoustic" and watch the acoustic videos that are uploaded there, you'll see what...

I've never played a fretless, anyone can tell me how it was for him/her the transition from fretted to 'less?

The man who bought the Wal

I'm still nervous and shaky, but it's all worth it. After years of waiting for something like this to happen, it finally did, and it's as great as i thought it'd would be, although I still have to play it. I got this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170000691463 yeah, i...
