The only bass I`ve ever seen with a broken truss, it was quite obvious, even without "checking" it. Is it possible to have a broken truss without the neck looking like a banana ? I would think if the neck was playable, the truss rod was intact.

Fender owns the names. A few years from now, they can revive the brands / names, and put any product they want under that umbrella
