    Fender Fullerton Reissue club

I've been diligently following prices on complete basses as well as parts for the 82-84 Fullerton Reissues for at least 7 years. You won't get any more for parts than for the entire instrument, and you'll probably get less for the parts vs whole. What is your motivation for parting out a...

51 P Bass Project. Last thing to do.

I have both the Dirnt road worn neck and a new, unused 2023 Fender '51 neck sitting here. The '51 I have measures 1.625, and the Dirnt is 1.6, so a touch thinner at the nut. I'm thinking you wouldn't like it because of the nut width. I'm not a Mike Dirnt or Green Day fan at all, but I do like...

51 P Bass Project. Last thing to do.

Have you looked into the Fender Dirnt necks? There are usually some for sale on Reverb and here. Stratosphere usually has some listed on Reverb. There are different versions of the Dirnt basses/necks, with some being satin poly and some nitro. I used a Dirnt Road Worn neck for my '54...

    Renaissance/Turner Basses Club

I agree with everything @EdwardofHuncote posted in his reply. I had two Ren fretless basses at one time and experimented with different strings and devices with them. I liked TI Jazz flats a lot, including their low tension, and I made a foam mute out of an insulation strip that I could place...

Show Us Your Rob Allen Basses Part IV

Almost every 4-string MB-2 I've seen is 34" scale. I've had 2 of them. I'm not sure about the 5-string version.

    Fender Fullerton Reissue club

Congratulations! You have a Fullerton Reissue based on the sunburst pattern on the back, the deep belly cut on the back, and the serial number. You can verify the other markings, stamps, and pot codes when you have it in the shop. Another unique thing to look for on the exterior is a slight...

Take a look at the info online about the '51-'54 single coil electronics. It was originally designed to do that. That little brown resistor on the tone pot can be removed and the volume and tone will react like your other basses.

    Noiseless SCPB Options

Have you tried the Seymour Duncan '51 P-bass Stack pickup? It's very popular with great reviews. I've used them for several years in my '54 style Precision basses and love that pickup. (I hate the hum of regular single coils.)

Genz Benz Uber gb410T first impressions

I've been a huge Genz Benz fan over the years a still have a pair of Compak 300 10T combos, along with several 10T & 12T cabs. If you're a fan of Genz Benz, take a look at the Genzler offerings which are a fantastic evolution of what they were doing at Genz Benz. That will probably be my next...

    1.75 Precision nut

I've used this exact model replacement nut on my Fender '62 AVRI neck which is 1.75" nut width with a 7.25" radius and it was a perfect fit. I looked up a 2009 Fender Road Worn Precision bass and it specs as a 1.75" nut width with a 7.25" fretboard radius.

    1.75 Precision nut

What is the fretboard radius of your RW Precision neck? If you don't know, then post the model or serial number here and I can look it up. (Or you can look it up with the Fender Serial number lookup): Serial Number Lookup Click on the blue model number link and you'll see the specs for your...

Shout out to Fender customer service

I've had nothing but awesomeness from Fender customer service.. Phenomenal positive attitude, willing to help, listen, and take care of a few issues I had over the years. The most recent experiences the past few years have been the best.

Help! Sadowsky ME took a dive !

Steam, then roll the edges, and use stable stands or store it in a case/bag between sets. Sorry this happened...but at least they are on the bass side.

P-Bass Pickups - What are your favourites?

That's good feedback that narrows what you'll be looking at. Definitely try to listen to some samples of the Fender Pure Vintage '63. There are some links to sound demos in that Boutique P bass pickup thread I posted above.
