    anybody ever try Douglas basses?

dabbler, thanks my local choices are unaffordable for me so far. e.g. LTD B405SM - $1.2K YAMAHA RBX JM2 - $1.3K IBANEZ SR1006EFM NTF - $1.6K used 6'ers are extremely rare on the market and they are generally $600+ (korea, indonesia, sometimes japan) somehow low-cost 6'ers don't get here...

    anybody ever try Douglas basses?

Hi all i'm thinking of buying a 6'er and looking for sth inexpensive. there are 2 opitons i find interesting: - Douglas WOB 826 Black ($190) Link Removed - Brice HXB-406 GL Black ($240) Link Removed visually i like the 1st better. but brice is 35" and it'll give a more decent B sound i guess...

comments that make you feel really good about your gear

i've been playing Ibanez Roadstar II '83/84 for over a year. that was really flattering when i got asked a couple of times where did i get that bass (esp in such a perfect condition)

FAscinating story. A friend of mine (who's a guitarist) says, 'Vomiting guitarist is a rock'n'roll standard'

    The Mediocre Bassist Club.

Looks like a group of anonymous alcoholics :hiding: Count me in please, as i've been playing bass for 8 years and still can't (re-)produce a normal slap line or tapping solo or whatever. damn, i couldn't believe there is a shelter for mediocre bassists... :bassist:
