that looks fantastic. From one of your earlier pics, I thought you might just bolt a nut and a bridge to your floor, dig some pickups in the floor and there you go ;-)
thanks for posting the video links in the post above. Very helpful. But I do not agree in one point: I always lower the string tension before adjusting saddle height or truss rod. I do recommend this to the bass community, too.
Dear Bass-colleagues,
I have a Gallien Krueger MB 200 which features 140W at 8 Ohm.
I have just bought an EBS Neo Cabinet 112 which has a Power Rating of 300 W RMS (all values from the respective home pages).
So now I think I should be able to turn up the amp all the way when I plug in my...
beauty isin the eye of the beholder, but QMT was never my cup of tea. For me it was always "too much". I do like a flamed maple neck, but that's not the in-your-face-look. I do like to see the wood structrue through a 3 color burst - but for me a nice ash grain is enough.
P.S. forgot to add: Z5 number, so built 2005, American Standard Series with S-1 Switch. Chenged the original white pickguard to Tortois - otherwise unchanged. Very light strings 30-85 Rotosound. Normally played over an EBS HD350 via EBS
210 Neodyme
I love 3 Color Sunburst and the bass has a Maple Neck with black dots. As I didn't like the white pickguard (I think it looks too blank or a bit like a dead space) I mounted the classic tortoise pickguard. Now I think the contrast in between the dark body and the light neck (as it doesn't have...
I do believe there is a difference - but for me there is not the characteristic maple or rosewood sound - I mean, I can easily hear on a recorded track if the guitarist has used single coil or humbuckers, also if it's a strat or a les paul - I don't think anybody can say this for rosewood and...
a number please for "proton": Fender Jazz in 3Color Sunburst with Maple Neck and turtoise pickguard - S1 Wiring (and yes, I do like it a lot) - 2006 built if I remember correctly - nothing changed so far
Dear Bass Community,
i recently switched to very light strings (30 - 85 Rotosound) on my Fender Jazz bass. I had to adjust the trust rod so that they don't rattle against the frets. When I looked at the strings on the nut I wondered if the grooves (or slots) in the nut were too wide for the...
I think Ritter basses are utmost luxury, art and you can play it - they are really expensive but hey - it's luxury, if you have the money, why not. Simpsons for me is the punkrock of TV entertainment. Sorry, but for me those two don't mix
