Hey guys, I recently got a pair of old JBL 18" speakers, had them reconed, and am currently looking for your help. I don't know much about cab construction but I'm determined to build one for these beasts. So the question is, how do I make a 2x18 bass cab?

Hey guys, I have an older seeming bass with the Brand GK. It is not a gallien krueger as far as I've been able to find. I tried searching on this site but GK Bass Guitar isn't a valid search. If anyone knows about this brand of bass any sort of help would be muchly appreciated.

Yeah, Rickenbackers always looked shifty to me. I can just imagine the stingray winding up for a punch, then the ricky just pulls out a blade.

Its the in thing. Thats all it needs to be. Some people enjoy it, some despise it. Personally I love fenders road worn necks, they just feel comfy.

Traynor's also have a well earned reputation for being nigh-indestructible, and nearly dirt cheap for how good they are.

Heres a couple of my current janky rig, a late sixties traynor 2 15 powered by an earlier pa head.

The only way I overcame my pickyness about buying a bass was realizing that it doesn't matter how the bass sounds but how it feels. Give me an amp with any half decent EQ and I can make a squier sound like a musicman. Try basses for feel only and worry, or don't, about its inherent tone later.

Did everyone just skip over the price tags for these? The rep said the 200 watter was going to be 2999 or some such hideous number.

@Pillgrimm13: I understand your point, you don't like the look of a beat up bass. But look at it this way. I don't like the way that most boutique basses look. Thats all fine by itself but then to say something like "Oh wow, that guy must really be compensating for something to buy a 5000 dollar...

It depends on what you want to do. If you play small coffee shop type shows, get the two 12s. If you play in places that have a bit more room go for the 2x15. I don't have the mesa boogie one, but i swear by mt Traynor 2x15.
