I have the whistle problem with a BG-100. High pitched, through the speakers, fairly quiet but noticeable in home use. Does not get louder with volume.

Almost like it's a different bass, altogether.

Play the octave harmonic instead of the open string.

Polyphonic octave pedal by Walrus, works quite well on bass but best on guitar.

They are under £350 new here in the UK now. If I didn't already have a Luminary II maybe I'd try one.

My two favourites are my Fender Princeton 68 CPR (12 watts) and Cornell Romany 10 (10 watts). Both ideal to get that pushed clean / edge of breakup sound at volume levels about right to match un-miked drums.

I have thought of an extension piece but I'm worried about splitting the upper horn. Maybe I'll go old style with a button back of the headstock :)

I bought a USB C to jack cable from Cubilux but you have to make sure you get the guitar in one rather than signal out. It works fine with iStrobosoft on my iPad.

Is there a secret to wearing a Thumb on a strap? The way it hangs puts the neck miles out to the left, plus the neck dive of a Thumb fiver is pretty severe. Makes me miss my old Corvette fiver although the Thumb sound is in a different league to the Corvette. Too late I understand that Corvette...
