Not a Warwick fan, never liked the blobby shape, but the finish is nice.

He’s had that one a few years. It’s definitely very cool. I’ve chatted with his tech a few times (great guy btw) and as soon as Rob gets a new bass he removes the preamp and installs a Bartolini (a model they longer sell but they make a few on demand for him). The volume knob works but all the EQ knobs are dummies with the controls set via internal trim pots and left that way one the right tone is found.

Yep, to me it would be like buying 1965 Fender Jazz and running it through a Morley, Volume, Fuzz, Wah Wah. Which I’ll admit I did as a 25 year old during my misspent youth.

I love that dark, fuzzy Streamer sound! Lots of low mids, growls, and sustain. But I would love to hear it clean as well. I also would have loved to hear the low Bb string.

It's also tuned to Bb Standard to match Metallica's live tuning (James and Kirk tune their guitars to Eb Standard because of James' singing).

Rob can afford whatever he wants, he obviously prefers the Warwick, which with it's longer upper horn probably balances better.

They're both stellar basses at this level though.....

I love the yellow relic with the vintage copper hardware. I cannot find a schaller 3D 4 bridge in vintage copper anywhere. I don't know if warwick had those in some kind of stash and used it after they were discontinued, or what. Looks killer, he has got some awesome warwicks
