For Sale Late 1970s Kramer 650B Fretless

No, although it appears like it is with the stripe of (I think koa?) Down the middle. There's an interesting article on reverb about the whole aluminum neck thing, it's really fascinating https://reverb.com/news/kramer-vs-travis-bean-the-great-aluminum-neck-split

For Sale Late 1970s Kramer 650B Fretless

Thank you gentleman! I do hope a buyer turns up but I'm not above just keeping it and hanging it on the wall, but it really should get played.

For Sale Late 1970s Kramer 650B Fretless

For sale is a late 1970s Kramer 650B fretless bass. This one belonged to my late dad (known here on Talkbass as Dr. Riddim) who passed in 2019, and is the last bass of his that I'm not keeping that needs to be sold - I've held onto it for too long. As I've been told, he special ordered this one...

SOLD 1996 Lakland 55-94 Deluxe, red quilted, fretless 5-string - Price lowered

Joe, I believe that when I was going through Riddim's posts I came across that thread you mentioned. Reading what he had to say, about how much he loved that bass, made it so hard to accept that it has to go to a new home, but we know he would love to see it get played again and the money going...

SOLD 1996 Lakland 55-94 Deluxe, red quilted, fretless 5-string - Price lowered

Thanks again SC! I was always impressed watching him play so effortlessly. He really only had the use of his index and middle finger for playing and was using a stool on stage right up until the end, but he never lost the ability to play so well. Bumping the thread, as we are still looking for...

SOLD 1996 Lakland 55-94 Deluxe, red quilted, fretless 5-string - Price lowered

Thank you guys, I hate letting this one go but the bass needs that love and attention I can't give it. And mom would rather it not sit in its case unplayed. All the funds go to her by the way, I'm not getting a penny. She's doing some house updates so she gets the funds from any basses sold.

SOLD 2002 MIK Lakland Skyline 55-01 Deluxe, quilted tobacco burst, 5-string fretless

For sale is one 2002 Lakland Skyline 55-01 Deluxe, lined fretless, 35" scale 5-string bass. The finish on this is a beautiful quilted tobacco sunburst with little if any blemishes. Comes with a case, which has some damage at the corners. This one was the backup to my dad's main 55-94 Deluxe...

SOLD 1996 Lakland 55-94 Deluxe, red quilted, fretless 5-string - Price lowered

For sale is one 1996 Lakland 55-94 Deluxe, 5-string unlined fretless in a 34 inch scale, the serial number puts this at #10 for the first year of the 55-94 series from my research. This bass was gigged regularly, but it was meticulously taken care of. The back of the neck has lost its finished...

    Lakland Owners Group #69

Thank you very much, he was a great bass player and a great father! Lemme tell you, he didn't like wearing button down shirts because the buttons might scratch the finish. He took amazing care of his instruments, the 55-94 got a whole new level of attention.

    Lakland Owners Group #69

Hey ya'll, that was the bass belonging to the late Dr. Riddim himself. I would rather keep it but as the reverb description mentions - I'm left handed. It ain't doing much sitting in its case and that just seems wrong! He loved that 55-94 and Mrs. Riddim and myself hope someone else can...

    Very first band...........

2006 or 2007, I had picked up bass only a few months before. An acquaintance of mine at high school, a real artsy kind of kid, played drums and had a practice space in the furnished attic area of his parents house. He found out I played and invited me over for a jam. Another acquaintance played...

Caring for an old leather strap

After my father (Dr. Riddim) passed in September, I had the responsibility of going through his musical equipment. I went through his regular gig bag and pulled out this leather piece, well worn and worn well for decades. He's pretty much used this singular strap since the early 80s, I believe...

The Official Fender Player Series Bass Club

Thanks, and to you as well! I'm planning that, just in black. I've never really liked black and gold as a color combination but it's a nice stand-out from the norm and has grown on me! This mockup has more or less cemented gold anodized as the replacement for the stock white guard.
