[JEDI BASS]

I just got my first Lakland, a 55-14. It's also my first 5 string bass. (I've been playing bass for almost 50 years.) It's a great instrument. The neck is very comfortable and the pickups offer a really wide range of sounds. I'm still adjusting to the extra string (there have been a few goofs at rehearsals) but I'm very, very happy with this.

My DJ-5 arrived today. This was a NAMM demo bass, and I don't know if they're all set up this nice, but it was even perfectly in tune. Action is LOW, tone is fantastic. Plays like butter. Love IT.

Might be upgrading some pick up's on my jazz, for some hum canceling 70's type pickups, other than Lindy Fralin Split Jazz, is there other types to look into.

In the process of trying to move a MTD Kingston Z5 and replacing it with another Skyline. The quality, sound, and playability of the Z5 is just as high as the 55-01 I have, but the ergonomics and how it hangs on a strap puts the headstock a little to far left on my body and gives my shoulder some issues. Hoping to have it all sorted by Saturday and maybe even a 55-02 on the way to me!

Hey ya'll, that was the bass belonging to the late Dr. Riddim himself. I would rather keep it but as the reverb description mentions - I'm left handed. It ain't doing much sitting in its case and that just seems wrong! He loved that 55-94 and Mrs. Riddim and myself hope someone else can appreciate it as much as he did. He specifically sought that one out due to the shorter scale being a 5-string.
