    Multi Bass Stands?

I have owned the Quiklok stand and it did a great job holding my basses, but it also MARRED several of my instruments that were finished in nitrocellulose paint. It left a yellow/brown streak where the finish touched the black, rubber material. This occured on both the body and necks of 2...

    G & L Players?

Of all my basses, my band likes the sound of the L2000 Tribute best, even the guitards. It cuts through, without being too "in your face".

Italia Basses, anyone here have one?

I have the Imola 4 string in amber w/ the faux wood grain pickguard, strung w/ TI Jazz Flats. It is a great sounding bass w/ a slightly clubby neck profile. I don't use it a lot, but whenever I do, I am impressed w/ how light it is and how resonant it sounds, even strung w/ the TI's. The cut out...

Early 90's MIJ P-Bass opinions or info

I have a mid 90's Foto Flame Precision MIJ that is among my favorites. The workmanship and "feel" of the bass are excellent as it is kind of a '62 reissue . Some don't like the finish itself but I have not heard of any that dis it in any other way.

Replacement Tuners for MIM Jazz Bass

Hipshot HB-7 are direct drop in replacements for Mexi Fenders and are much more accurate as they are 27:1 tuning ratio.

Cover Bands - What Do You Open With?

We have only played live a few times, but we have always opened with "Around and Around", a Chuck Berry song, but we TRY to emulate the Rolling Stones cover version, which is on their "Love You Live" CD. It's simple and a straight ahead rocker to get you over the jitters! Hope this helps.

    squier vintage modified"tele" precision bass

I purchased a mint Squier Tele Precision 2 days ago off of CL with a Levy's gig bag and a set of DR Low Riders for $150. The bass seems to sit nicely in the mix at band practice and has a deep THUMP that I really enjoy. My only quibble is the neck finish - not uncomfortable, but different from a...
