Even if they are both rated at 500w, does a 212 system put out more frequencies than a 115 or?

I have a GK MB212 and want to upgrade to a solid and more traditional sound through the Portaflex head and amp combination. The traditional Ampeg sound came from a 15 from some of the information I've read, so I have two questions ultimately. What cab has a fuller and deeper sound, or which one...

MB212 here, had it for a short period of time but love my experience with it. The sound is great and the bass it too...so drop it out of the eq a bit and it plays perfect. I use a Squier fretless and an Ibanez SR505 on it with no complaints.

It's louder in the Passive input as well. Slightly quieter in the Active input. Actually its so much louder in the Passive input I might still keep it there.

I recently bought an Ibanez Sr505 which has passive electronics and an active EQ from everything I have read. Having the passive electronics still I should plug this into the Passive input instead of the Active input correct? I searched here and Google before posting this thread, I just don't...

I have an old GSR205 that has two Ibanez Dynamix jazz style pickups(not liking these at all). This is my cheaper bass and im not looking to go crazy expensive on the upgrade pickups; should i replace the jazz pickups or bore it out for some humbuckers? What options should i look at and how hard...

I just tried a super low end Yamaha at Guitar Center, it was $177(the low price forced me to try it lol)! I plugged it in and was shocked at the sound, quality, and playability I got out of something so inexpensive. The pickup layout was a P&J and both had a great sound while I was playing it.

Gizmot, what Warwick do you play out of curiousity?

Thanks for all the help guys, I'm big into 311 and P-Nut's bass style and sound(I know he plays on a custom Warwick) so I wanted to check one out that had that style before I jumped at it. I play on an Ibanez 5 string now, and do plan on going to try a Warwick out...any feel/play similarities...

I love the Burgundy Red color on this plus the price is great, only thing is its only through Sam Ash...anyone have experience with this bass and/or purchasing through Sam Ash? Invalid Link Removed

I just switched from Ernie Ball rounds to some Chromes on my 5 string Ibanez...love the sound and I'm pretty sure this is a long term thing for me. The flat sound clicked for me after listening to some Flea lines and knew that his sound was a tone I liked...bye bye rounds, at least on my Ibanez!
