Pick all the way - play finger style for reggae and other slowish sound stuff, but for punk or fast walks, pick with mids scooped!!!!! Dunlops 1mm, or Brain 1mm - need the grip :)

Practice about 30mins - 2 hours a day.. Normally practice by playing through me bands set list. Also write songs - sometimes practice my playing and singing - hard without a drummer tho :)

Well - my 3 peice Ska punk band are recording tomorrow - I havnt got a spare set of strings (this may be bad - i know) so i was thinking of maybe taking two basses just in case. Does anyone else take a backup bass for recording? Also - what else do people take to record - this is the second...

I always stay and watch the last band - normally just to get drunk :) I find it weird that when we headline shows, the rest of the band dont stick arround to watch the supporting acts. Tis a good way to gage what the crowds like in my opinion :)

I normally say go for a name that people wont forget - Currently fronting my band called "duck my sick" - our first EP is called "its a spoonerism" - most people find it quirky and dont normall forget it!

Use a dano+pick for punk rock :)

Always played in ska/punk bands!! Do play other styles at home, jamming to tracks etc - but bands have always been the same. :bassist:
