I just won some new strings from the unc jazz festivil. They are d'addario helicore medium tension stranded steel core nickel wound strings. My problem is when I put on my A string I found an insane buzzing from the top bridge... I figure it is because the string is too close to the neck... My...

Also... For hairs... The darker the hair well... The darker the sound... And vice versa... Usually cinimon hairs are a nice inbetween... Although most bows are usually just white... I would recomended the cinimon

I started with wood... It was a basic bow and pretty good for my beginning years... But when my ivory broke and I needed a rehairing the shop said it would cost more than it's worth so they recomended I get a new one... I went and tried many bows that he made and ordered I tried many wood bows...

Ok of it's hitting the strings then it's not tightened/... But if it is tightened then you are playing on the edge of your hairs... Really focus on keeping the hairs flat on the strings... my old French did the same thing... I think that it is natural for wood bows... I would suggest upgrade...

Ok so i gota a new bow 3/4 french... i want a hard case to go with it.. its a nice bow... but idk which ones are good... everyone is telling me to get a fiberglass case... but i cant find where to get them... does anyone know the website(s)?
