Anyone know what the stock pickups are on the offset PJ Mustangs? I need to replace the p pickup...always liked the stock p pickup sound

Have a Vintera ll and Player PJ. Both desperately needed a setup before turning into amazing basses. Great sound flats or rounds. J pickup is a little weak on the Player but I rarely use it. Vintera ll neck makes you work a little bit harder but sounds more like a Mustang where the Player leans...

A lot of the perceived "quietness" of this Ampeg line is just do to a difference in volume control design. Most amps will max at noon. On the V7 you just have to turn it up more. 3 o'clock is my sweet spot for an 8 ohm 2 10. The V7 will be good to you...don't be too worried to turn it up

V7 is definitely easier to dial in. Lugan is correct. V7 probably a safer choice for more selection of sounds for different musical styles than TH

Tone Hammer 500. The V7 probably has a wider availability of tones but what the TH 500 does...it does better than the others...which I guess is trying to sound like an old Ampeg?🤔

All the amps you listed are great amps. For a first amp and the styles mentioned you would be fine with the Ampeg V7...and pretty well set up for anything you might wish to play in the future. Love my Aguilar but also having a great time with the V7. Always a good idea to check the used market...

Gigged mine twice so far. No problems. Sounds good EQd at noon. Di did the job. Volume taper is different from most amps but not a big deal. V7 should be loud enough for almost anything. Solid amp
