Finally got around to posting these.. The pics show the offset of the neck a little, especially if you eye-ball it based on the dot inlays. Not sure if this is bad enough to try to correct. I did try loosening the neck and moving it but didn't get much play out of it. I had to shim the neck...

I'll try uploading some pics later today.. my connection doesn't seem to agree right now.. I had to drill the bridge holes, so locating where it should go was a pain. Had to use the body like a drafting board by basing the location off of the neck and pickup routes.

So the tone is working.. I put all the strings on and I could hear a considerable difference.. what a wrestling match that was. Only thing is I discovered the bridge is too far to the right.. gauging that by how the strings are traveling down the neck. I thought I had all that figured out. I...

There's this video I just saw today with Living Colour bassist Doug Wimbish and Will Calhoun jamming.. The video is on YouTube called Groove Duet.. About 1 minute into the jam Doug uses some effect on his bass to get a lead guitar tone.. any ideas what pedal that might be?
