Whos getting the new Traben star bass ?

I've got both of them. Not a very good purchase! I bought the star model from SAM ASH about a year ago, sounds good, action is good, the neck does tend to bend and flex a bit though when playing hard. The other one had the fretboard separate off the neck by the nut. I had it repaired and the G...

Crafted in Japan & Made in Japan

I've got 3 Fender Jaguar Basses, and noticed that one has "Crafted in Japan" in in very nice kind of fancy script. And the other two have "MADE IN JAPAN" in block letters written on the back. Does anyone know anything about this? Just a thought.

    Fender japan! Share the basses!!!!!

And what's up with the different markings on the back of the necks? I've got 3 Jags and one says "Crafted In Japan" in fancy script on the base of the neck, and the other two say "MADE IN JAPAN" in block script. What the heck does that mean?

Need Help Fiding My DREAM bass.

I think you should READ the thread before giving your two cents. You can't argue the fact that an instruments aesthetics affect your creativity. If it didn't than we would all be playing black P or J Basses.

    DIRE NEED OF HELP!

You won't hurt the instrument by removing the the LB and C strings. Just be sure to back the truss rod out a bit. Removing tension will give the neck a little back bow. After removing the strings loosen you truss rod to your desired action. You'll be fine.

Need Help Fiding My DREAM bass.

Thanks for the help. I'm looking for something with a cool, unique body and headstock shape. I really like this Bootsy Bass, but just want a little better build quality, with better materials. Anyone know of someone building a BETTER Bootsy bass? I've seen the Washburn model, but it's no longer...

    Your opinion on Rondomusic....

I bought one of the SX fretless J basses, It plays very nice and has a Ebinol like neck. I never played a fretless, and didn't want to risk BIG$ on something I didn't know if I would even really get into. It was a great buy @ $135.00 Good wood, nice sounding pickups, and a beautiful finish. I'd...

Need Help Fiding My DREAM bass.

I just got what I thought would be my dream bass about 3 weeks ago...Sadly enough, like most cool and unique looking basses the build quality and playability aren't quite as good as the looks. I bought a NOS Traben Bootsy Star bass from an online store, so of course I didn't get to try it before...

    FZ-2 Fuzz replacement

I really like the Snarling Dogs Bootzilla Fuzz pedal. Yes you're probably paying extra for Bootsy's name stamped on it, and stupid graphics, but it does have allot of tone adjustments High, Mid, and Low frequencies.
