    Modding a Ric....

I like to spit on people first, before insulting them. My comments about Ric5 are accurate, it's just that his rant about the RRF forum and Rickenbacker players was deleted by a mod in the last thread.

    Modding a Ric....

Ric5 likes to blow simple issues out of proportion because he has a sorespot about Rickenbacker players due to his time on the RRF forum, i'd take what he says with a grain of salt. In reality, all but a few don't have a problem with people modding Rickenbacker basses unless they're A) trying to...

My new Ric is on it's way!!!!

Unrelated but minor gripe about the UPS in my area. If you pay for guarenteed shipping, like 2-day or 3-day, they won't deliver the item untill the exact estimated time. For example, if I get 3-day Fedex shipping, they will put it on the truck to my house as soon as it's at the local facility...

    Rickenbacker 3000

Well the 3000s were the budget line. Bare minimum, single pickup, no frills what-so-ever.

    Rickenbacker 3000

    Way overpriced.

    Just bought my 18th Rick!

For the sake of arguement, 675$ in 1989, adjusted for inflation, would be a little over 1100$ in todays money. If you consider the ever increasing cost of manufacturing and distributing instruments, and the fact that their basses are still actaully made in the U.S.A, Rickenbacker hasen't jumped...

SUPER CHEAP Chinese Rickenbacker... Worth Buying?

    It's a 4080/12. A 4 string bass and a 12 string guitar. I don't think there are any copies of it.

Any info on THIS bass? ("Rickenbacker" content)

Neon pink + gold pickguard is probably the worst color combination i've ever seen. :rollno: The green isn't too bad, though.

New Rickenbacker Owner? Look No Further!

I don't know anyone who actaully uses the mute though.

A Brief Review of the Dillion DRG45 (Ric 4001 copy)

For close to 800$, you might as well just save up the rest and get a real Rick used. Way too much for a copy IMO that only kinda-sorta matches the asthetics and tone of the real deal.

    Rickenbacker relic advice

What I don't get is, if he gets bent out of shape over one ding, why does he want to put more in it and 'relic' it? :rollno:

    Rickenbacker relic advice

I have a 30+ year old Rick that was gigged frequently and used in several bands, and it might as well be new. That CV finish is like armor plating. Some people like that, some people hate it.
