    Expensive basses - any point?

    My Jazz bass cost me 2800 and retail it goes for 3500. Its handbuilt by Fender Masters handwound pickups its craft is so fine, I could go on but this bass is the best bass I've held and played.

    I use to use elixers but now im bent on Cleartone. The coating doesn't shed as much as the elixers.

    I own a 75-76 Gibson Grabber and the case is not a case anymore. Does anyone know of another premade case that would happen to fit this beast? Besides the Coffin Case...

    today's gibson basses

    I own a Gibson Grabber from 1975-76 and when I took it to the shop for a setup the guy said its a great bass and it was "Gibson's Best Attempt at a Fender" haha biased opinion I'm sure.
