PawleeP, 250k pots will give you the most organic sound, but use the 500k pots if you're looking for added high end and a slightly more hi-fi sound.

This is a rare instance. I made the bass that inspired this build and I am VERY happy with that instrument, but if I had the scratch I would pick this bad boy up in a heartbeat!! :D:bassist::D
