I just received a finished paint product for my Warrior Build. It's getting close now and I'm excited. I love how the paint turned out.
Got an update from Martin at Zon. Progress! Bass ordered in early June, with 8 month ETA given at the time.

It's being made by the extremely talented Alan from ACG (acguitars.co.uk).
It's a short(er) scale (31.5") 6 string fretless Krell SC E Type.
As it happens, I don't have a picture of the back, there's no plan for a rear facing though, so it'll just be the Limba body wood visible, with a lively set neck joint with a Wenge/Purpleheart neck

Got this Balor acoustic bass from Emerald a few weeks ago. Was told it would take four months, it took six. Not too bad. The radius is a custom 12" as is the sixth string. The top is Bubinga they chose for me. The rest is stock.
Now I'm waiting for my Stambaugh semi-hollowbody six-string fretless, and about to order a headless, neckthru solidbody six-string fretless from Moses Graphite, so I'll be on this thread a while longer . . .

Hey tone shaping controls aren't a bad thing, right?
Things are going well; new city (Indy)/new home/new adventures, just moved at the beginning of the summer for Amy's work. We are starting to like it here, that is till we have to experience what winter is like.
Looks like I'll have a Nordstrand 3band pre along with a custom set of Ulyate DC's in wood blocks Chris built for my decade old Benavente 6'er installed next month.
