I decided on Eminence Delta 2515. Loaded up the cab and they sound pretty damn good....

I recently noticed that the cab was not wired in series or parallel, the wiring came from the jack to one speaker, looped from that speaker to the other. What do you call that?

Not sure where you all play but I never was able to use my SVT the way I wanted to so that's why I got the V4. I think I will stick with the 2515, it's a solid speaker and I'll save over $100.

So my v4 would underpower these speakers and the 2515 is a better choice...... looking at the specs why not use the CB15? The 2515 only comes in 4 ohm......I would prefer an 8 ohm so I have room with my amp to add a cab or cabs. What I liked about the 3015 is thier higher sensetivity and...

I've read this thread and it seems like the 3015 is the choice for me. I have a marshall 1552 cabinet ported with 2x15's. The OD of the cab is 29.7"x29.3"x17.5". I found a site that calculated volume but it didn't include the 5" port......it told me the volume approx. 7.25 to 7.75 cu. ft...

I downloaded WINISD, I have to be honest and tell you I have no clue what to do with it!

It sounded decent but lacked low end...makes sense as it was loaded with guitar speakers.

I spoke with my tech today and he suspects a bad power tube. Might have been just a conicidence. Still have yet to decide on speakers.......

My mistake, the speakers were wired in parallel. I had my amp set to 8 ohms and the load was 4 ohms.

My amp tech told me that running the amp at 8ohms with a 4 ohm load can cause a power problem in one or more than one of the tubes. The cab is a marshall 2x15 with a 6 inch port between the 2 speakers. The speakers are wired in series and set diagonal.

So it seems the cab I just bought has different speakers than the tag (not to mention it blew out the tubes of my V4) I got a Marshall 2x15 cab that was supposed to have 250w celestions at 8ohms. I turned on my V4 and after a few it went HUUMMMMM crapout!!! So I opened up the cab and found...

It's a Marshall JCM 800 Bass Series 2x15 cabinet model 1552. It's got 250w celestion sidewinders and sounds BIG! Been looking around and don't see much info on them out there. All I know for sure is that it sounds nasty with my Ampeg V4. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

anyone use a 2x10 and a 1x15? Thinking I may go that way.
