Yeah, I have watched that clip a bunch of times, and each time the musicianship is just mind-blowing.

Bass Solos That Knock You Out

Willy Weeks playing on Donny Hathaway’s “Everything Is Everything” It’s a clinic on starting simple and building from there. When I saw Joe Dart play with Vulfpeck a couple of months ago I thought, he has definitely studied the Willy Week’s format of bass solos! Enjoy all 13 minutes or jump...

Noble + Effectrode vs Effectrode + Linden

The Humboldt does get a lot of praise on this forum, especially the way it's transformer adds attractive character to the signal. I haven't tried it, unfortunately. If I remember correctly, I think @el murdoque has talked about them both.

    My preamp bender: A Journal.

This is valuable information @el murdoque. I am a big fan of the LA-1A, though I have not had the chance to try the Doc Lloyd. Everything I have heard and everything I know tells me I would love the Doc Lloyd. I often wonder how much better/worse/different the Doc Lloyd would be vs the...

    Effectrode Phaseomatic Deluxe

Great catch! Brimarized too. Haven't used this pedal but I bet it adds some nice tube warmth.

    Phaser/Delay Pedal? Does this exist?

The MXR Carbon Copy has a “MOD” button that was built to add some of the phase/chorus-type flavor you’re describing. It is a great little pedal, simple, and could possibly work for your needs. From the MXR product team: “the mod switch adds some modulation to the delay time to get it to vibrato...

The Guardian: the shocking truth about the money bands make on tour.

The music business is what I think of as a 90-5-5 industry, similar to other art & performance industries like photography, dance, fashion, book-publishing, etc. 90% of the artists lose money 5% break even 5% make so much money that they pay for the whole industry If you can support yourself...

    Noob Noble Question

@el murdoque, you may be able to speak to Jack about getting him to modify yours. I don't know anything about the time or cost involved. I thought I would use the 12v connector on mine, or use a 9v connector with a doubler to bring it up to 18v, but so far I haven't needed that functionality...

    Noob Noble Question

Most of the Noble power outlets are 9v (black) but some units are fitted with one or more 12v outlets (yellow) to power pedals that need more voltage.

    Epiphone EB-O modification project.

Merge them and rock the double-neck! :bassist: C'mon, when will you ever have this chance again?!

    What's your guitar rig like?

I use the same pedalboard for bass and pedal steel guitar. For bass, this goes into a Baby Sumo power amp to a Mesa cab. For pedal steel guitar it goes into a Quilter Toneblock 202 and to a Travis Toy cab. Kill 2 birds with 1 board!!
