What's your guitar rig like?

I use the same pedalboard for bass and pedal steel guitar. For bass, this goes into a Baby Sumo power amp to a Mesa cab. For pedal steel guitar it goes into a Quilter Toneblock 202 and to a Travis Toy cab. Kill 2 birds with 1 board!!

I'll start:

Headless guitars and single coil pickups are my jam. Right now, main squeeze is an Ibanez ICHI10, the Ichika Nito signature model. It's basically a headless, 5lb strat. Really happy with it!

In the last few months I've transitioned from tube amps and pedals to a Fender Tone Master Pro modeler. Still love tube amps and pedals! But the all-in-one is so flexible and convenient, and it sounds great. Also love the organizational aspects. Being able to organize patches into songs and set lists is really practical for gigging.

For monitoring, the TMP output is routed to a QSC CP12 wedge. Sounds pretty good to me. Would love to try out a FR/FR that's designed specifically for guitar, just to hear the difference.

I consider myself more as being someone who plays with rather than actually plays a guitar. But I try.

Standard setup is my Telecaster or P-90 loaded Yamaha RevStar through either a Vox Mini SuperBeatle or my SO’s Fender Lead 75. That said I very much aspire to getting a Magnatone Twilighter some day.

There’s also an old Ovation electro-acoustic set up for Nashville tuning.

If I’m going crazy with pedals I’ll use both amps in a wet/dry configuration.

FWIW, the Tele is usually tuned for “Spanish” (DGDGBD) or some other alt tuning with a set of nickel 10s. The Rev is in standard tuning with a set of “Gilmour gauge” strings.

I practice with my basses going through the H&K regularly, I have a couple of presets in the POD for playing the bass using EQ and bass preamp models. It works well enough for practice at home. I don’t often run my bass amp at home, because even at low volume it rattles the knickknacks off the wall.

Hagstrom Swede, G&L ASAT Bluesboy, Squier Strat into a Peavey VK112. The Quad Cortex does double duty. Waaaaaaaaay more than I will ever need and more than enough to track with, which is great since I have zero intentions of ever playing guitar outside of my house.

Also a professional guitarist, so there’s a few different axes/setups through which I cycle, but if I’m left to choose;

2001 MIA Telecaster —> ‘59 Bassman clone

I replaced the stock neck pickup on the Tele with a Duncan Custom Custom. The Bassman clone I built and always sounds like it’s about to explode (i.e., perfect).

No handy pics Fender MIM 60th Anniv. FSR no-pickguard black strat modded with rose Pickups, Thinline Squire Tele 4 way switch modded with Rose Pickups and upgraded caps on both. Les Paul Classic 60's neck.
Fender Deville 4x10, VHT/Freyette Deliverance 60 (KT88's) with 2x12 Fatboy cab.

My usual gig trio:
Two EC Signature Strats, OR Two Telecasters (52 AVRI with cap mod & a Partscaster with Duncan Five-Two's and a Bigsby) and an Epiphone EJ160 acoustic with a K&N Pure Mini pup. Cables are Rattlesnake and Divine Noise. Picks are Dunlop .60 Nylon

I run thru a Pedal Pad XL board with Empress dual buffer, Dr Robert, EHX GLove, Strymon Flint, Echoplex, into a Morley A/B. Channel A goes to amp, B goes to FOH/Monitors (for acoustic). All pedal wiring is custom length George L with right angle connectors.

Amp is usually a Z Wreck 2x12 OR a Morgan AC20 Deluxe. I also pack a Vox MV50 in my gear bag for back up and have played several gigs with just the little Vox & a Dr Z 12" cab. For big stages I use a Mesa Lonestar Classic two cab stack.

Vocal Mic is a Beta 87a.
Mic stand is an On Stage Stands shaft & boom mounted to a Pedal Pad Mic Stand Bracket.
IEMs are 64 Audio custom molds thru a Shure PSM300.

Baby Powder is Johnson & Johnson
Batteries are Energizers.
