The loudest one of course!

That would be, technically, my Sound City 120, with 6 EL34’s, but it depends on what cab it’s going into(I’m restoring a SC 4x12 that had destroyed Fanes, will probably replace with Celestion or Warehouse)…

…but then, while missing the chunk factor, my ‘66 Vox AC-30 is quite capable of pissing off the neighbors as well. There’s also a couple of Traynor YBA Bassmaster Mark II’s pressed into guitar service, then a 60 watt Sunn Sceptre with the matching upright staggered 4-12 cab(Warehouse drivers), great rig for surf-y cleans with the Rev/Trem and dual 6550 power tubes.

‘12 US Fender Telecaster Special, MXR DynaComp, TS808 clone and Keeley Verb ‘O’ Trem into a Blues Junior IV.

I don’t play a lot of guitar live these days, but I’m very happy with my simple little rig. Thinking of replacing the Tele with a Strat but we’ll see.

I had a black Gibson SG with an ebony board that was unfortunately a casualty when we moved down here. I definitely miss that thing. It was kind of fun sending it through my effects chain into the SVT / Fridge

Mostly Gibsons: LP Standard 50’s, LP Special double cut with P90’s, an ES-339 from the Mod Shop. A Fender offset tele with a P90 in the neck. A garbage strat from somewhere in the Pacific. Amps: an Orange Tiny Terror through an Orange 1x12. A Fender Mustang GTX50 for the cleans. Too many pedals. A couple of acoustics.

I have too many things. I play bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, 12-string acoustic guitar, mandolin and piano.

I've got guitars and amps going back to the early 1980's. My main amp to this day is a silverface 1979 Deluxe Reverb that I bought second-hand around 1983. That amp has just been everywhere. Being an electronics guy, I long ago modded the "normal" channel that no one ever uses to have reverb and tremolo and later on, set it up to be like an early Marshall lead channel. The tremolo channel remains 100% Fender, except disabling the completely useless "pull for boost" feature cynically added to some of their amps after 1978.

Other than that, a 1965 Pro Reverb, a 1960 Narrow Panel Tweed Tremolux and a 1960 5F6A Bassman. The Bassman is a real one, that I came across covered in furniture-grade black naugahyde with spanish colonial over-sized brass nails... (some crazy person in the 1960's did it) it eventually needed some electronic restoration as well, but it remains a true example and easy to hear why Jim Marshall copied it. Everything sounds great through it, especially cranked up.

Guitars, I have a 1984 Fender Esprit Elite (weirdest one), a Heritage H150 that I've had for over 20 years, a 1998 Custom Shop Stratocaster that is a lifetime keeper, A Gibson anniversary 1960 'burst reissue (killer). A Bill Chapin T-bird (tele style). Acoustics are mostly Martin, the most amazing is a 1931 Authentic OM28 (insanely great) and a Collings 02-H 12 string, which is a tiny bodied 12-fret powerhouse of a guitar.

Been collecting them for decades now.

Bass has been more "tool" oriented for me. I got bass gigs for years without ever actually owning a bass or amp, till I bought the JP90 in the early 1990's. LOL. Those were the days.

Guitar wise, Strats and strat-style guitars, my main guitar is this awesome Frankenstein of a 1982 Squier Japan JV series neck and a 1988 Fender USA body.

Without a doubt the best Strat I ever found.

My back up is this 1991 Squier II strat.

In the back you can see my amp, which is.

A nineties Fender Stage 112 SE, which is a MONSTER, I have to use a master volume in the send and return otherwise, it's simply too loud for...pretty much anything, but you can't beat the sound.

And yeah, solid state, I abandoned Tube amps since I started to hate signal loss and how difficult it has become to buy replacement tubes.

I also have this half stack, which I fully intend to start using live, which consists of a Marshall 2x12 cab and an eighties Yamaha G-100 head, and yeah, that one is Solid State too.

So if my band has a show where the venue already has cabs onstage, I'll take the Yamaha with me.

Pedals wise, I'm probably being the most modest: A Dunlop Crybaby, a Boss Tuner, a Mooer SoLo distortion, an Ibanez Stereo Chorus and a Mooer Analog delay, sparse, but it works.

My guitar, Carvin SC 90

No pedals, amp sounds good and has reverb and tremolo. I don't agonize over the tone of my guitar like I do with bass.

I don't play guitar much myself, though it was the first instrument I took seriously before bass. I have a parts-tele a friend gave me. Fantastic instrument, better than I deserve. I just plug it into my YBA1 reissue with the attenuator set to minimum. I used to keep a small Traynor guitar tube combo around, but I prefer the tone out of the YBA1. It mostly gets played by guests...

I enjoy guitar as much as bass. Although I’ve only played live as a bassist. Right now I’m using a JCM2000 DSL50 with a Marshall 412bv. With vintage 30s. A good parts super strat with a PRS DGT SE inbound.

Not exactly the same amp, but the 30w Egnater Rebel was the house amp I used when I won one of guitar centers local guitar competitions years ago. Loved that amp. Made me sound better than I was.
