What's your guitar rig like?

A lot of us also play guitar as well as bass, so just for fun, thought it would be interesting to hear what gear us talkbass guitarists prefer for our guitar rigs right now.

What gear do you prefer these days? Has it changed a lot over time? Do you use it live or just at home? Are you a pedal person? Modeling? Tube amps? Plugins? Acoustic? Gassing for anything?

I'll start:

Headless guitars and single coil pickups are my jam. Right now, main squeeze is an Ibanez ICHI10, the Ichika Nito signature model. It's basically a headless, 5lb strat. Really happy with it!

In the last few months I've transitioned from tube amps and pedals to a Fender Tone Master Pro modeler. Still love tube amps and pedals! But the all-in-one is so flexible and convenient, and it sounds great. Also love the organizational aspects. Being able to organize patches into songs and set lists is really practical for gigging.

For monitoring, the TMP output is routed to a QSC CP12 wedge. Sounds pretty good to me. Would love to try out a FR/FR that's designed specifically for guitar, just to hear the difference.

What are you running?

Classic Series '70s Strat in Antigua and a Johnny Marr Jaguar. Deluxe Reverb and Princeton Reverb. Lots of pedals.

I really like that is has a built in attenuator, so I can set it to 1 watt and get that juicy cranked tube goodness without making my ears bleed. I run it mostly clean, but it can get downright nasty if I engage the lead boost.

Ever tried it with bass?
I loved the tone while I owned one.

The EQ is totally off, of course, but when you run a bass preamp pedal into it, it's really great!

Many bass tube heads have been said to be also good for guitar (and sometimes vice versa) so that would be my first thought - were I to venture into that territory.
I might try to get my hands on a Bag End S-10 or S-12 (which I would love to try anyway for double bass).
A buddy of mine uses an old Musicmaster tube bass combo for his guitar. I love it. (It supports my theory of the inverse relationship between tonal awesomeness & knob quantity.)

Good point! I tried guitar through the Ampeg PF 20T and it sounded great. Into guitar cabinets though.

I messed around with guitar for a few years, but I would not say I am actually a guitar player. I learned to play chords and lay down loops, so I can noodle around. Never really learned to play actual songs though.

When I first started, I had a early 60s Princeton my brother gave me. I bought a Pedal Train Pro and populated it with a variety of pedals. A few years later I started collecting amps. For guitar I was mostly interested in big classic tube amps. I added the following amps with appropriate cabs: Hiwatt DR103, Marshall JCM800 1959, Marshall JMP 2203, Matamp GT120, Vox AC30, Fender TFL5000D Showman Reverb. IMHO all of these amps are stupid loud, so I also bought a pretty nice attenuator; I would say it helps a little .

The guitar I chose was a Fender MiM Deluxe Players Strat. It has the vintage noiseless pickups. They are noise free and sound decent, but I think single coils have better tone and feel.

I had originally planned to get a Les Paul, but after playing several I find the model does not seem to suit my taste as a player. They all seem to have this really massive attack. Also the standard Les Paul body really bites into my ribs.

Tele in Daphne or a Parallel Universe JM with 3 buckers or LP or a baritone Tele but this is 99 AVRI ‘57 Strat is becoming my daily driver. I play a Champ at home and a JCM half when I mean business.
My board is completely dismantled due to a full redo I have planned for the weekend. But it consists of a switcher, a Bray fuzz (my favorite), Cali76 Stacked, Context reverb, Binary Star delay, Meridian for modulation, 76 Plus for the funk, Unit 67 in boost mode (but A-Bing against my Sex Drive) and I may be the only person on earth actually using the Ambassador by @Sushi Box FX

I had originally planned to get a Les Paul, but after playing several I find the model does not seem to suit my taste as a player. They all seem to have this really massive attack. Also the standard Les Paul body really bites into my ribs.

Seems like you should try my Revstar

My guitar playing is generally for songwriting and home demo recording in the Americana-Rock genre. I use:
Early 2000's Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Mexi Strat w/ Texas Special pickups (my main guitar)
Line 6 James Tyler Variax (which is a great Les Paul style guitar, but also very useful for all the Variax sounds it can produce, from 12-string Rickenbacker to banjo to sitar to resonator, etc.)
Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster (a recent acquisition and I'm still getting a sense of what it can do)
Fender FA-235E acoustic guitar (a cheapo $300.00 guitar that actually plays and sounds great. I bought it for taking on roadtrips and playing open mics, but I've ended up using it for a lot more than that)
For an amp I primarily use a little Fishman Loudbox Mini, often with the master volume turned off so it functions as a preamp/DI. Great, relatively transparent little amp w/ built-in reverb.
My pedalboard consists of just a TC Electronic tuner, an Ibanez Tube Screamer, and a Boss TR-2 tremolo. That's all I need.
Sometimes, for recording, I'll run the guitar through a cheesy little Line 6 amp that sounds great for that purpose, or an old Korg Pandora, or a new Fender Mustang Micro headphone amp. I try to keep things simple and small.

I play guitar professionally in addition to bass. My guitars are:

G&L S-500 strat
D'Angelico dc semihollow (forget the model)
Charvel San Dimas HH

And a couple acoustics that don't leave their cases.

As far as effects, everything is done in a Line 6 Firehawk. No amp, I just go direct into my studio rig, and direct through the PA on gigs. I would really like a Helix, but can't quite justify the expense right now because of other things I have to spend money on, lol. The Firehawk is good enough for now.

Fender Strat, Tele and Broadcaster. A Fender Blues junior amp and a Spark amp. The Blues Junior has a bunch of Bill M mods. And a dozen nice acoustics.
