    Who uses mixed cabs?

I use a 'Kustom' 2x15 cab outfitted with Peavey Black Widows and an SWR working man 2x10 cab on top. Each is powered by a seperate amp: GK 1001 RB, and 400 RB; respectively.

I just put new strings on my bass...

You can not simply adjust the height of your bass strings, arbitrarily. Although guitars are simple machines, there is a protocol to adjusting them properly. Here is a link that may help. http://www.tunemybass.com/bass_setup/

What Kind of Bass Guitar do you Play (Re-loaded)? BE SURE TO REVOTE!

My main bass for gigging is an early 90's Fender HM V (5 string), which I bought new for less than $400. Before that it was my 1985 Precision (basic model), which currently has active EMGs. My assortment of "other" basses currently include a 1990 Fender Fretless Jazz Bass (MIJ), a 1966...

    Need car help, no start

I completely agree about the sensor(s). Cars today are loaded with them. I know someone whose OIL was a little low and the engine wouldn't start because of a sensor. With so many miles on your vehicle...you may want to check the oil, top it off ~only if necessary~ and go from there. Good Luck!

My Karma must be REALLY bad.

I would rather have 10 broken headstocks than see my daughter with a broken spirit or broken heart because of an accident. You've earned a truckload of karma...in that moment! Keep the karma going and see if you can have a luthier repair it and then donate it to a local school. That way...

    Does skill = your bass??

I understand what the guitarist is saying....although he needs to keep his insecurities, opinions, and thoughts to himself. I have always used and still employ sub-standard equipment, yet I consistantly receive raving compliments on my skills and sound! It's been said over and over, it's not...

What's The Funniest Line, or Altered Song Title You've Come Up With?

Back in the '90s...Merrideth Brooks had a song called "I'm a B**ch!", which our female vocalist sang. One night, with the flu, she was unable to sing the song after we had already started playing it. I stepped up to the mic and 'Manly-fied' the lyrics... I changed the chorus to...

    Do you play guitar?

At home I play my acoustic daily and practice my bass frequently. The acoustic helps me with song writing and also helps me create melodies.

    Guilty Pleasure?

Back in the day--some of my friends never understood why I liked listening to SADE. They just didn't understand groove.... They were all about OZZIE and EDDIE :hmm:

Found an old bass solo of mine

What was that five or six years ago? I felt that the solo was a little hurried...it felt ahead of(before) the beat. You used some good ideas, but needed to hit 'the-pocket'. I'm sure you've improved in these past years, and now that solo should be inconsequential to you. I can hear...
