It's definitely a keeper. I sold a JB-2 and an L2K a couple years sgo, and have regretted it ever since.

Just received this yesterday--used JB-2 circa 2002 (5-digit serial number). Except for a couple of very minor dings and surface scratches, it's almost like new. Minimal to no fret wear. It seems the bass has barely been played. Kudos to The Bass Shop in Seattle for excellent set-up and shipping!

Any updates on pricing for 2021? Also, is Greg still the one to contact? I sent him an email several weeks ago, and he never replied.

I've been playing guitar and bass since I was a teenager; I'm in my late 50s now. I've never been in a real band, though I've been told by several others I'm good enough to be in one, and I'm only an intermediate player. Even if I'm not at the level I'd like to be, it still gives me enjoyment...

I once tried to sell a Mesa cabinet on CL. I had it listed for $600. Someone emailed back and said "I'll give you $300 right now!" I emailed this reply: "OK, $300 now, and another $300 when you come pick it up." I never heard back.

I like supporting the underdog. I prefer G&L over Fender, as well as Heritage over Gibson. Both G&L and Heritage make superior, hand-made instruments that are of better quality and less expensive than their well-known counterparts.

How true. I also play guitar, and I've had want ads for bands for over a year, and got virtually no response. As soon as I added "I also play bass" to the ad, I got all kinds of calls! :D ______________

I recently read a thread in a guitar forum, and one poster said, "Bass players are just failed guitarists." Kind of bothered me a little bit. Opinions?

May I ask what store you bought it from? There is a bass I am thinking of purchasing from an online store that matches the exact description you just gave, and if it's the same one then I'll avoid it.
