Pre-CBS Fender Basses.. Let's See Em

Basstovsky, are they more rare than other early 60's Jazz? I don't seem to find as many on here...

Pre-CBS Fender Basses.. Let's See Em

I love this thread! 60? Jazz my dad got 40+ years ago. He refinished the body back in the 70's. Gigs with this bass helped buy the first house my parents ever owned. He's gone now, but we'll never sell this bass. I gotta get some better photos of it though.

Is $50 cheap for a Jay Turser? Also, which one is it?

Thanks for the info mazareth. Meh, not so sure now, as I read about it, it's described as a 1/2 size bass. Waiting to hear back from the seller, we'll see...

Is $50 cheap for a Jay Turser? Also, which one is it?

It doesn't mention the model in the ad, and I don't know these brands that well. From what I'm finding online, these are low end basses, which is fine for the price. A lot of people have had nice things to say about them in other threads though. Can anyone tell what model it is and what it's all...

Amp makes a good scratching post eh? (re-cover)

For the record, as I was reading the replies that tortoiseshell cat, who is a bit wonky, started licking and batting at the metal frame of my keyboard stand. It's only a matter of time before everything is destroyed!

I still have it, and that's a great idea! We have a 5' tall cat tree though, so they are already spoiled enough as it is.

Amp makes a good scratching post eh? (re-cover)

This might not be the most exciting refurb ever, but I figured I'd contribute something to the forum instead of lurking. Drummer, still a newbie to the bass world, and I've had this amp lying around for people to jam on. My cats made quick work of tearing it up, and here's the result after some...

The Official Short Scale Bass Club -- Part 3

Currently selling my squier vm jaguar standard scale, because my hands are too small. As a replacement, I have a line on a '66 mustang bass that's been refinished and has a newer hard case for $895, but I might be able to talk them down some. I only looked at it briefly, and being a new player...

I'm a relatively shy, new-to-bass guy, but I'm just off 17 in Campbell and I'd like to stop by if I can. I can't really play much, yet, but I might be able to bring an early 60's jazz that was my dad's. Would be cool to really hear it played well again.

can you help me clean up this mess?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to integrate all my equipment into one system. I'm thinking I need a bigger/better. What I'd like to do is hear everything out of one set of speakers. I'm not that smart at this stuff, and I don't want to put cables where they don't belong! There...
