As I searched about for a nice but not budget-busting short scale, I read a lot about the Gretsch, Squier Mustang and Jag, some Beatle-type basses, etc. And yet, the Ibanez ARTB100 is almost universally overlooked. Mahogany body, maple arched top, set neck, twin humbuckers, vintage LP looks--looks like everything I want and need in a short-scale. I believe they're discontinued, but MF has them in stock at $429 and probably a lot less with a little haggling (they'll alaways drop for slow-moving Ibbys). What do we think? Anyon e actually have or has played one? Or am I missing something?
