    A few years back I saw Richard Bona at Bass Day UK in Manchester. He had a few pedals he was messing around with, one of which made his bass sound like a harmonica. Does anyone know what that might have been? Thanks :)

    I had the same problem with the same strings, took it off the B and it was fine :)

    Just picked one in metallic red from a pawn shop, gonna see what I can get out of it. It seemed ok in the shop, actions set nice and low with no buzzing. Although the strings are very old.
