Oh no, I'm not an authority on signatures at all, I know a great deal about the official baseballs used by the minor leagues. The authentication service uses my book to date the ball that the signature in question is on.

Baseball in general; collecting official minor league baseballs in particular. I wrote a book about the latter, which is used as a reference for at least one collectible authentication company.
