What are your other obsessions?

I do a lot of boating in the summer, which boils down to 2-3 months a year on Cape Cod. But really, it's just building basses, I do it pretty much every weekend all winter. This one finally ready for finish work after nearly two years of weekend only work.

I know a guy who is an authority on baseball signatures. I don't think it's you if Tony is your real name.
Oh no, I'm not an authority on signatures at all, I know a great deal about the official baseballs used by the minor leagues. The authentication service uses my book to date the ball that the signature in question is on.

Reading(currently reading The Great Shark Hunt by Hunter S. Thompson)
Drums(picked up an electronic kit a few months ago to mess around with)
Working on my house(finishing the last of my big inside upgrades this year)
Getting my lazy butt back to the gym
Patiently waiting for our hunting seasons to open back up again
Planning my next move
.....oh, and considering picking up another bass

I’m curious about your electronic drum kit, I’m thinking of getting one myself. What did you get? Short review?

I just scored a K&M 16415 Harmonica Holder, not unlike the other contraption here which has been out of action for a good while now. Hope it pays off. This'll be fun, polishing up the old chops. Blues music. Not just a hobby:)

You weren't asking me, but if you're interested:

Pricey, but really worth it. Fantastic sounds and playability. Acoustic drums are still better, but not by much!
Yeah, that’s like 10 times my budget! :D
Seriously, it looks awesome, but I’m looking at compact beginner’s kits. Probably something between the Roland TD02kv or the Alesis Nitro Max. Not sure. Both have good and bad things about them. I’m not going to turn into a drummer…

Before this, she had an Alesis Surge Mesh kit that was quite a bit cheaper. She did enjoy it for a while, but she outgrew it pretty quickly.

Probably Hi Fi stereo. Although I don't have the money for outrageous equipment.

Sorry, no photos.

Linn turntable.
Klipsch Cornwall IV speakers.
Marantz 30 amp
Rotel CD 14MKII Cd player

And.........about 6,000 Lps and Cd albums.
Here are bits of my stereo system, most of it bought in the late '80s. Some components are currently packed away (Sony PS-X50 turntable and TC-K444esII recorder). A McCormack Micro Integrated Drive is currently in use elsewhere.

That piece of wood in the lower right corner of the above photo is the end of my circa 1910 Charles Stickley 1599 trestle library table.

I love this thread! It's really nice getting to see other dimensions of fellow TB-ers. Here are my other obsessions:

1) Math - I own a tutoring business in which I tutor math up to calculus. Math has always been a passion of mine and I'm so grateful that I get to help my students. Plus, I'm still learning and growing in my own math journey.
2) Swimming - I initially got into it after re-injuring my knee a few years ago while running. It has since become a hobby unto itself. I mostly swim to maintain my physical and mental health, but I do like to compete too!
3) Music History - Particularly that of rock and metal. Knowing about the stories behind my favorite songs, bands, artists, and genres makes me want to play more bass.
4) Personal Finance - Money is power and so is knowledge.
