They played in Austin a few years ago. Oddly, they played the same night Absu played a show in San Antonio. Suprised the state's still here. I guess the ghost of Bob Wills was around to hold it all together.

YES!!! That is one killer serious bass. And it's gorgeous, too. Don't go knocking any pins down with it, though.

So... You gonna run stereo? Super clean tone? If so, use an Ampeg for the bass amp and a Roland Jazz Chorus as the guitar amp. Sweet Corn Heaven! OR just scratch all that and get a Hiwatt.

Yes! I made that change a while back. The string spacing makes for less work and the B string makes for a really great thumb rest.

The P bass strings sound like flatwounds as you describe them. They're gonna sound a lot more mellow than roundwounds on a RIC. How many jacks does that RIC have? Plugging into the wrong one will only give you the treble (guitar) pickup and not the bass pickup.

They promised us we'd use the metric system by the time we were out of school. And then one day - bango! Everybody just stopped talking about it like it was nothing. I really wish we'd switched. I use it when I cook, so. Also, this has inspired me to quest for used G&Ls around here before...
