    Firepod is an interface made by PreSonus. It is probably overkill for what you are talking about doing. I use the FireStudio product made by the same company which has less features, but would still cover the needs that you are talking about. It runs around $250 new, but I got mine for half that...

    The website is saying that you can order it either way. Presumably if your manual says 8 ohm then that is what you have.
