Behringer Bass V-AMP Pro - Part II: Get On Back, Jack, Do It Again...

Anyone figure out how to rig an 'auxilliary in' into this thing? Would be nice for practicing.

You might be able to use the POST DSP Inserts in the back. All you would need is a [1/8" stereo plug]-to-[Left/Right 1/4" TR plug].
for the fun of it i used our guitarists bean version. the rack unit has more cab sims and more options to connect the unit, the bean version has the advantage of an auxilary input and a foot switch to change the presets up or down. i wish the rack unit has these 2 features too.......
I asked about the guitar vamp rack because I just bought one for 102.50 with the FCB1010 pedal and figured if worse case scenario I would keep the pedal since the pedal alone is worth 100 bucks.

Hi all, im new to this site and to bass effects gear in general.Ive been playing music 30 years, but ive never really been an effects kinda guy, Anyway,time to try something new right
I bought the fcb1010 and bass vamp pro and im not 100% sure if ive got it hooked up right. fcb midi out to midi in>bvamp then to the main input on my peavey tko400w.
My biggest issue is i cant get the fcb1010 to sync up with the bvamp, it powers up and all the switches work but it isnt syncing. Do i have to do something special at start up or am i not hooking up my cables correctly?
This is a killa thread and ive learned alot by reading through most of it, but i really need some help

I think there's some kind of key/pedal combination that you press while powering on the FCB to auto configure it for the V-amp, and it has been mentioned here before.

I think the "newer" Bass V-AMP has the updated chip to utilize the FCB1010 but the older V-AMP can be updated by simply relpacing an eprom chip.

i switched the midi cable to fcb in from bvamp out, no luck, am i supposed to have the switch 1 or 2 jacks hooked up?

Ok the V-Amp Pro that I bought a while back that didn't work isn't going to so I wanted to offer parts to you guys, not for sale just giving away (if you will pay shipping). I'm not a supporting member yet so I'm not sure if this is allowed but I figured it was since I'm not selling anything. If not let me know. I have all the knobs and the case is in near perfect condition. Like I said it doesn't work but you are welcome to any of the electronics but just know they may not work. I can provide pictures to anyone interested.
When connecting MIDI equipment, the IN from one unit plugs to the OUT on the other - this must be done for both ins and outs.
Try switching off your footpedal, hold down buttons 1 and 8 and switch it back on.

Here's a thought on battery life - the CR2052 3V battery is the same as that used in desktop PCs. It is rechargeable.
I wonder if users who are getting long battery life are more often leaving their V-amp Pro plugged into the wall most of the time...?

I'm not sure if this will help as it will depend on the Behringer circuit's ability to actually charge it.
you know that is a good point.. With all the battery failures from users in the past and pissed off people losing all their presets if it was capable of charging a rechargeable I'm sure Behringer would have revised the PCB under some revision thru the years and made a point out of it to show the users the "new and improved" unit.
