My former Rock band had a drummer/singer. And frontman. We have him and his drumkit placed stage front, where the singer would be. It worked fine. Miss that band to death, man.

Oops! I almost forgot that! Fender Precision Bass, strung with flats, Rosewood fingerboard and, of course, tortoise pickguard. Sunburst.

I guess that the only bass that would sound any good with that amp is a Fender Precision Bass, strung with flats. And rosewood fingerboard, of course.

I use a basic little fórmula: more instruments in the band, less notes I'll play. Less instruments in the band, more notes I'll play. I've been doing this for 20 years, and it seems to work. But hey, we gotta play the notes the songs need. I don't think there is any science here, it's about...

I use an overdrive as a compressor...

My old classic rock band had a drummer/lead singer/front man. Just put the drumkit where the lead singer would be and you'll be OK. We did that and it worked fine. I hope it helps. Cheers, dude.

And add a speaker sim. What's the use for a DI with distortion and no speaker sim? About the color switch being always on on the distortion channel, I read somewhere in TB that there's no wayt o mod that. I don't know why I haven't sold mine yet...
