An astute watcher asked about the red lettering absent from the face. I had forgotten I covered the face in black vinyl. It was just too loud and distracting. Anyway, here are pics with it removed...red lettering loud and in your face.

Hey, if anyone lands this trade and is interested, I have this beautiful Rickenbacker 4004 Laredo with little use I would trade for this amp. I would need something added like a bass bag or cash to even it up.

Not to hijack...but I have a Gallien-Kruger 1001RB...if someone wants to pony up 690 for it we could work out a deal where CesarBass gets the cash I get this amp... In other words, a straight up trade. It looks like he's in Florida so it might be easy. Just sayin

I know this is a very old thread, but as long as I'm here...I found this lutheir in West Palm beach who not only took a new bass the same day, but incredibly finished CREATING and mounting the soundpost... the same day. AND it was Saturday. hats off to a true artisan (he handcrafts violins)...

I saw those amazing photos of yours...I never would have attempted had I not seen them. Thank you so much for posting. I made a configured "block" as you did for the top. Clamp went underneath. It failed, but WHEN I can face it, I will double down on my efforts. I got so close...

Pretty sure spruce on top. It's an 1870-80 student bass...that's it in my sig. I mounted a neck block where there wasnt one but it failed. I go to buy another bass tomorrow...then I'll have free time to repair this again slowly. Though pretty disheartened. Ugh.
