I use a Tascam bass trainer with a pair of Bose triport headphones, and the combo works great. The trainer provides a lot of effects options, as well as the ability to boost or cut out the bass part from tunes I'm practicing, looping, tuning, etc. The Bose headphones have plenty of bass response...
