RUSH-Geddy Lee Rickenbacker 4080/12

The 38 shows that I've seen since 1981 have had a huge impact on me too!
Cash wise.......
But worth every penny!
I do not have the picture to prove it, but if memory serves he did play the 4080 on the MP tour. That was a great tour.
I am jealous of all you guys that got to see them in 70's! (and the 80's for that matter...)
I missed out on those and these days one of my projects is a Rush tribute act... I am really getting an appreciation of how much work he put into pulling off those songs!

Wow, that´s quite a number.
I've been a fan since 1989 (was 15 by then)
and never had the chance to see them live.
I'll be more than satisfied with one single show.
Makes me want to break out the Hooka and jump on the Thailand Express!

Holy synth rig batman!
The cool thing about Geddy in interviews is that he talks like he's 'an ok bass player'. He talks about the things he can't do, respect for other players (Jack Bruce, Jeff Berlin), etc. He's the kind of dude you could bump into in a coffee shop and you can feel comfortable having a chat with him. Alex is the same, reminds me of guys I went to school with.

Is this an original bridge? As far as I can remember they look different from this one.
He put Badasses on his Rics and Fenders (except the Jaco sig.)
The saddles don't look as massive as the ones on his main fenders now...anyway, I knew about the badass bridges, I just thought that he started using them a bit later on this carrer.
He put a Badass I on his first Jetglo 4001 (1974-1978) in late 1976 and the second one
(1978-1983 & 2007-2008) had one when it was new. I dont think Rickenbacker installed it though.
The 4080/12 has a Badass I but the 4080 has a Badass II like the one on his Jazz Bass.
He used the Jazz Bass on the Moving Pictures tour (YYZ) but at the time the stock fender bridge was still on. He did bring the Jazz out on the road for the Signals tour and used it for "The Weapon" but I don't know if the Badass II was installed on it yet. By the time Counterparts (1994) was released, it was on there.

I don't care what anyone says, that Rick still looks like one heavy mothertrucker! It's probably still in his closet at home. It's pretty awesome-looking, though!
