I really wish geddy would bust out that teardrop P so we can see how "awful" it really sounds.
I'm sensing some sort of conspiracy where he really recorded everything they ever played on that bass and is just laughing about it as we try and figure out how he gets his sound.
I know how he gets his sounds. I have the rigs and knowledge to prove it. He does not tell people everything but he tells you the jist of it. I took his advice and his Ric sound is spot on. You have to use Ric-O-sound though and have your Ric setup right. A factory Ric will not sound right. You have to set the bass up correctly to get the real Ric sound. I do not know why Rickenbacker does not set their guitars up that way.
