I was one of the very first people in Canada to get one of the Daphne Blue basses and I love it. I had no idea about the "saddlegate" issue until I read this thread but I checked mine and it has the correct saddles. Justin, thanks for working with Fender to produce such an awesome bass!

I actually had the opportunity to meet Geddy but I passed it up. As for the exhibition, I think the video in the OP showed a lot of what there is to see. However, I still plan to go to see it for myself.

I live close to Calgary so I plan to go to the exhibition. I just received my copy of his book after being on backorder for over 4 months.

Sorry for the delay in replying to you, but as another poster said - Nothing distracts from a Thunderbird! Using a white strap on a white Thunderbird doesn't take away anything from it. Instead I would say that using a white strap with a white Thunderbird makes it look even more awesome!

That's weird that Fender would say that because I placed my order at the end of January. It's hard to imagine that they would be available in Canada sooner than in the USA. Regardless, the Fender covers look nice, especially with the Fender logo being done as stitchwork on the covers. Well...

Fender is already selling the 210 covers. I know because I received mine a few weeks ago and it has cutouts for the side handles. I also have the Fender cover for my 500C.
