So I picked up an svt 2x12 over the weekend, thought just occurred to me that I need to lose the rest of my hearing tonight. 500 combo 2x10 and 2x12 should peel some paint

It isn't normal. You have a noisy pot. This seems to be the #1 complaint of Rumble owners. Try some Detoxit. I think others here have done that. It may be necessary to call Fender and get them to fix it under warranty.
I just ordered a second 210v3 cab for my 500 head....now i'll have 4 vertical 10's, looking forward to test driving at the next gig.So I picked up an svt 2x12 over the weekend, thought just occurred to me that I need to lose the rest of my hearing tonight. 500 combo 2x10 and 2x12 should peel some paint![]()
Correct me if I am wrong, but if you plug the 212av (mine is a 4ohm cab) into the 500c, you will be running the combo at less than 4ohms. The 500c is not rated at that level, so the hearing loss may come with a loss of cash from your wallet to replace the 500c.So I picked up an svt 2x12 over the weekend, thought just occurred to me that I need to lose the rest of my hearing tonight. 500 combo 2x10 and 2x12 should peel some paint![]()
Cheers for kickback stands. I like 'em 'cause my knees hear worse than my earsThe 100 is a great amp. I use it for band practice (3 piece in a garage) and for gigs where the venue supplies a sound system. I take it instead of by Bassman 550H and show the soundman were to plug in. I do use a kick back stand so I can hear myself easily. It make a great stage monitor. I played such a gig Saturday and I was running gain and master on 8 using my G&L SB-2T and with my Fender Areodyne, it was gain 11 and master 10.

True, didn't think about that...my Ampeg 15 is 8 ohms...I could always disconnect the 2x10 speakers, one of the things I love about my rumble is the fullness and volume at about 3-4, you don't have to dime this to get a great soundCorrect me if I am wrong, but if you plug the 212av (mine is a 4ohm cab) into the 500c, you will be running the combo at less than 4ohms. Abso-freakin'-lutely. I keep seeing those 212av's at decent $ then I remember the resistance thing. The prices haven't been good enough to warrant rewiring the damn thing. I'd really like to have a 212 cab,in fact I've suggested a R212 cab to Fender"We'll take it under advisement" Translation:NO!Correct me if I am wrong, but if you plug the 212av (mine is a 4ohm cab) into the 500c, you will be running the combo at less than 4ohms. Fender is already selling the 210 covers. I know because I received mine a few weeks ago and it has cutouts for the side handles. I also have the Fender cover for my 500C.Good news for those wanting a Fender cover for their Rumble 210 cabinet. It looks like Fender is actually going to sell them. Prior, Sweetwater/Fender was marketing the 500C cover as the cabinet cover. Unfortunately, the hole for the handle was at the top, which didn't work well with side handles. Sweetwater now shows the cover with the "handles" in the right place. After verifying with one of the team at SW that Fender is going to sell a cabinet cover, I ordered one. They're not in stock yet, but when they are... I'm glad I held off when I bought the 500C cover.
I played in some stupidly loud bands in the '70s-no earplugs-so my left ear is only useful to hold up my glasses.Yeah, I knew a guy who had a trick ear once.

Funny, I called Fender a few weeks ago about the 210 covers and they couldn't say when they would be available. Oh well, good to know they do exist and I will be getting one soon. For $20 you can't beat 'em.Fender is already selling the 210 covers. I know because I received mine a few weeks ago and it has cutouts for the side handles. I also have the Fender cover for my 500C.
Yer gonna LOVE it. The biggest problem I had w/ mine was getting it outta the box. Nearly threw it into the ceilingView attachment 2974217 View attachment 2974220 New amp day! Received this today.
Welcome Rumbler #887! You might want to adjust your EQ there. Those settings will throw mud about 300 yards. Rumble on!View attachment 2974217 View attachment 2974220 New amp day! Received this today.
