My white one (on the right, obviously) is a Fender AVRI '57 P. On the left is a Fender AVRI 63 P. No mods to either. Out of all of my basses, the white P is definitely my main player.

I'm building one now! Warmoth maple jazz neck with black block in-lays, Fender factory body, Seymour Duncan Quarterpounder, Hipshot A-bridge, Hipshot ultra-lite tuners. I'm putting in a side mounted output jack and making a custom 2-hole pick-guard for Volume and tone. Anyway, I was inspired, in part, by Nick Oliveri's basses. The first 2 times I saw QOTSA he was playing a white P; the first time an older road worn one with a tort pickguard and, later, a white-on-white one.

Here's my white P. I bought this bass used for $180. It was a midnight blue(?) MIM Precision. I stripped it and painted it white. Bought a Fender Tort guard, a Fender Original Precision pickup, and installed CTS pots, switchcraft jack, tusq nut, Fender vintage bridge, and an orange cap. Strung it up with TI's and it almost gets as much play now as my Custom Shop 59 and American Original 60's P.

Here's my white P-Bass - a 2011 MIM in White Chrome Pearl. It was the first bass I purchased after going over 25 years without owning a bass. Since then I've bought several more basses to keep it company.

MIM with MIM jazz neck. 60's fender p pickup. I just added the DiMarzio area j a few months ago. Loving it. It's my main player. I had a matching jazz bass, but sold it, regrettably.

It's a 2008 model AmSt. That's an old pic, the P is now wearing an AmSt Jazz neck, bridge mute and LaBella 760FS.
The only bass I have a name for; I call it "Thumper".
I usually gig with Thumper and the S1 MIA Jazz, with Rotosound RS66LD, both have the same neck and setup.
I gig in a show band covering Pop hits from the 60's to current. Makes for easy mid set switching and the pair can cover a LOT of sonic real estate.
