Funny Craigslist post, "wanted, green pedals"

Got a feeling he's related to this woman...

Let's play a game. How we can offend everyone on TB today?

Roundwounds are better than flats on a violin bass.

    YouTube to mp3 help needed...

vidtomp3.com is the only converter you need. I've used it for 5 years now I think for petty things like quick drum beats or songs without the bass in it, but I get the mp3 I need in about 10 seconds and 2 clicks.

Stupid-easy songs we love to play

A2 sorry My bad, I should have specified that for Chameleon, I was only referring to the first couple minutes or so haha. I've messed with that one simple riff too much :D

Stupid-easy songs we love to play

Without a doubt, I have too much fun playing Chameleon by Herbie Hancock. Also, Benny and the Jets. Great simple bass lines.

    I chose a Rogue VB100 over a Hofner Ignition.

What do you mean by solid core? I opened up my Rogue's control panel last night and it's definitely hollow :D Unless you're referring to something else, than I don't know, because I do remember playing both unplugged and the Hofner did indeed have a much nicer sound to it's acoustics.

    I chose a Rogue VB100 over a Hofner Ignition.

IIRC, the Epiphone has a mahogany neck (compared to maple on this Rogue) and is semi hollow. I do remember playing one a while back and just not liking it all around. Then again, I was playing it when I was still sucking on bass :bag:

    Let's spread some musical misinformation

The Beatles smoked actual beetles in the late 60's.

    I chose a Rogue VB100 over a Hofner Ignition.

Interesting! Never knew Hofner basses were considered cheap at that time. But yeah, I walked in the store not thinking about buying ANY bass, but right when I walked in, the rogue was put on the rack and I just thought "How cool would it be to own a violin bass?". The Rogue definitely won't be...

    I chose a Rogue VB100 over a Hofner Ignition.

This Ignition didn't have the zero fret. I'm also not informed about what bass Paul used for that song, but I just said I played it on these basses because well, that's what I was playing when I found out how off the intonation was on the Ignition. But yeah, kind of disappointed me that...

    I chose a Rogue VB100 over a Hofner Ignition.

I was in a guitar shop and they had both the Rogue VB100 and the Hofner Ignition. I spent probably 20 minutes per bass and in the end I walked out with the Rogue VB100. Keep in mind, I only came in to buy some new strings and nothing else :D. The Ignition was prettier sure, but the Rogue just...

Youre on an island with 2 pedals

What about that Boss GT-10B? Counts as a one piece pedal right...? :D

Does anyone else play like this, or am I just weird...?

Wow, I can't believe I missed that video of Scott Devine explaining it. I guess this is much more common than I thought! I guess I was just underexposed to players like this, and I thought I saw all the techniques of most bassists. But in a way, it also makes me glad I learned a...

Do you judge a bass player based on the brand that he uses?

Me specifically, I have a MIM Jazz bass I wouldn't trade for anything else that was worth threefold of it (Of course, only talking about my one specific bass). There are plenty other people like that, so no, I don't bag on anyone for wanting to play cheaper gear. However, there are a lot of...
