I don't know why Gold Tone doesn't correct their listing, I've told them a couple of times.
Just curious, why does their listing say those strings can't be used on the fretted M-Bass? I was thinking of trying them on mine until I saw that.

I have not payed attention to their listing at all. I use the strings on fretted basses of all kinds, solid bodies with piezo and magnetic pickups. Go for it.Just curious, why does their listing say those strings can't be used on the fretted M-Bass? I was thinking of trying them on mine until I saw that.

I started this thread a lonnnnnnnng time ago. Cool.
I'm back after a significant break, and I just searched this thread to see if there were any references to the Ibanez PNB14E. There weren't.
Sub-short scale lovers - you Have to know about and check out one of these. 24.7" scale. Not 30, not 28, and not 20. 24.7". The scale of a guitar. Tuned like a regular bass, with 90 to 37 strings by D'Addario that are perfectly stable. Great electronics with built-in tuner. Great, great bass for a mere $250. Lots of fun to play.

These may (please enquire with LaBella or Gold Tone for exact winding length, or ask @kohanmike):I do like the sound of the fretless. But I wonder if there are flatwounds that fit it.
