Did anyone have any thoughts about the string tree on the current california solid ubasses? I've taken mine off entirely becuase it was to painful to tune around.

Try this useful tip...Anybody able to point me to where I can buy a charger for USA five string U-bass, big thanks in advance.
They are not. There's a short review I wrote on this thread a while ago.Hmmm... will have to check these out. I take it they are not as "sticky" on the fingers as the Aquila etc. ?
I finally got those Galli UXB810 Black Nylon strings...they are really great! However I see that they have now just released a flatwound version...GAS has piqued my interest yet again!
Kala has their new flatwounds out, I've heard some good things, anybody try them?
These flatwounds too are nylon-core! (Which is sure to help with intonation.)I would think intonation would be nonexistant up the neck. Would have to use fretless.
I am concerned regarding your comments about the short sustain. That could be a deal breaker for me. I would appreciate hearing other opinions on this. Thanks for the review. Are you not using these any longer? They are not. There's a short review I wrote on this thread a while ago.
