So, I have a Danelectro '64, which I love, and is an homage to the Mosrite surf bass.
These Hallmarks do their own spin on it, but in 32" scale.

I'm curious about the rest of the specs. Anyone see them online or do I need to ask Hallmark?
Hallmark also made the Sweptback guitars and basses. I assume they're long scale though.
I like mine. I wish it were passive, but it plays fine and sounds great.
Has anyone bought the Squier Jaguar yet? Wanting to try it but wondering if its worth the $399.

Seriously, I've found most Rics have meaty necks that don't help much, IMHO Rics don't feel medium scale at all
Yes, Rics do feel long scale to me.
I still have my 1974 Ric 4001, bought new that year.
Also, and prob'ly more importantly, when shopping for strings for a stock Ric 4001 or 4003, you need to ask for long scale, as the bridge anchor point for the balls pulls them back more than on a typical Fender bass, for example.
It's the same issue which makes Hofner bass users sometimes choose medium scale strings, even though the scale of the instrument is officially designated as short.
